Interested in volunteering for the Spokane Edible Tree Project? Great! You can fill out our volunteer registration form and submit to register directly with us as a volunteer.
There are a few ways you can volunteer, details for each are below.
- Join a Gleaning Mob: Harvesting parties bring people together to pick fruit that might otherwise go to waste. This fruit is then made available to those in need. These events are a fun and easy way to get involved with SETP! Our harvest season begins in late June and ends in early November.
- Become a Harvest Leader: Harvest leaders lead or co-lead harvesting parties. We provide all the necessary training, materials, and support. You would be expected to commit to co-lead at least one harvest party between early July and early November. Not sure if you’re ready? Join a gleaning mob and test it out!
- Become a Tree Scout: Tree scouts volunteer in their own neighborhoods to register productive and underutilized fruit trees. This is a fun opportunity to serve as a vital liaison between SETP and fruit tree owners in your area!
- Join a Sub-committee: Are you interested in development, volunteer recruitment and retention, or event planning? Join one of our active committees working hard behind the scenes to keep SETP going strong! These committees meet about once a month.
We look forward to meeting you, thanks!
